Easy, Focused & Result Oriened Chipping Practice

Golf Burnaby posts some great tips on their website. Here is one you can use on the chipping green...

Are you aimlessly practicing your short game, just going through the motions? There are right ways and wrong ways to practice. Having a clear goal to your practice, like controlling your ball flight, can help you execute better on the golf course.

Hone in your short game with this quick and easy drill that will track your progress.

Start by chipping 3 balls to the same target, with 3 different clubs:
• The first ball, is hit with your highest lofted HYBRID.
• The second ball, is hit with your PITCHING WEDGE
• The third ball, is hit with your HIGHEST LOFTED WEDGE.

 Score as follows:
• Score a Birdie if your ball finishes within 6 feet of the pin.
• Score a Par if your ball finishes within 9 feet of the pin.
• Score a Bogey if it finishes outside of 9 feet of the pin

Track you scores and compete against yourself and try to achieve your personal best.

Your scores are going to tell you what shot to pick when you have plenty of green to work with.
